I hope the wt loss will enable me to sit in the tub. Its been years since my arthritic knees would allow me to comfortably rise from a sitting position in the tub.

Good night

Big or small if you have a standardized tub its too small for ya! I had a garden tub. It was wide enough but not nearly long enough even though I'm only 5'1". Best tub soak I ever had was at the Bellagio in Vegas. It was long enough and deep enough to submerge my 250lb body.

Enjoy this post.
We actually had leakage issues in our very old deep bathtub so we recently removed it. Then we went shopping and to my dislike all the new tubs are not deep enough but I did read the reversal if the overflow drain which is great.
I miss my bathtime but can't use a strange tub.
One time on a business trip I had one with jets and almost tried it but couldn't.
Then I heard they had the most bacteria so I was extremely glad I didn't.

Oh yeah, those water jets hold on to a whole lot of yuck. :(  I'm with you there.

Yeah, I always *wanted* to like baths... and I even liked bathtime when I was a wee kid. But taking a bubble bath for fun and relaxation as an adult has always felt like a lie, especially when i was at my heaviest! The tub would be too small, I'd feel all wedged in, the water would slosh around every time I moved, there was always part of me getting cold, the water would seem to be tepid almost immediately, and worst of all, I couldn't ever shake feeling like I was sitting in dirt and dead skin and soap scum. Ugh.

I've taken a bath in the last year (they do help alleviate back pain effectively) and it's a better experience for being smaller, but still not a fun or relaxing one.

I am secure in my manliness that I will admit to both liking and disliking them.

I have a nice big jacuzzi tub so after a solid workout out is nice to relax in a warm tub.

I dislike them when after long runs or something like that I will do an ice bath. Yes it is what it sounds. 40 pounds of ice in the tub with 2 inches of water for 15 minutes. It is great to flush the legs and help them recover faster.

I read your post to my husband and he muttered something to the effect of, "my boys disappearing for days if I did that!" with a grimace on his face.

And to that I say...ouch!
