I have serious tub issues!  Just looking at the tub grosses me out and gives me shivers.   I have a hard time bathing my kids without freaking out.  When I see movies or tv shows with people in the tub I freak out inside.  Seriously.  Something about germs and grossness, especially around the drain area.  It's irrational, but I can't help it.  So no, I never have and never will, enjoy a bath!   (And yes, I realize I'm completely nuts!)  LOL

Well if you're nuts, you're in very, very good company. :D

Well I haven't been able to take a bath for a long time because I didn't fit in the bath.  But even before that I would take a shower first because if I didn't all the dirt/grime would float to the top of the bath and I realize - YUK - I'm sitting in dirty water.   So I'm looking forward to another shower then bath when I get the time.

I was the same way.  Hated to take a bath for the overflow valve reason, also because my hips would touch the sides of the tub.

I started taking baths again I think shortly pre-op and the way I fixed the overflow valve was to buy some of that puddy stuff you put in little kids ears to keep water out.. I smooshed iti all together and shoved it over the overflow valve holes.  Worked perfectly!

Always showered as a kid and never had a lot of bath exposure until I moved to this city where so many old houses didn't have showers.  Just those claw foot bathtubs.  So I got used to them but I had to scrub them each time prior to using and I have to wipe my feet before I get in to try and keep any floating bits to a minimum.

As I got heavier baths became more of an ordeal.  Hard to get in and out of the tub and that whole issue of not really fitting anymore.  It became a goal of mine to enjoy a bath post op.

It is neat to be able to fit in the tub and I live in a house now that has a garden tub so you can lay back a bit.  I'm tall though so I still have to bend my knees when I do that.

But I fit!!  And I can add lots of water and not slo**** all out!

But I still hate to see a hair float past or anything like that.  LOL  It's odd, I know.  So I don't take them much but I love knowing that now I could and would fit comfortably AND most importantly to me, be able to easily get up and out of the tub.

I am still considering it a NSV because I can fit and we all know the surgery doesn't fix our heads.

I will not take a bath.  I don't care how hard I scrub a tub...I don't want to sit in the dirty water.  Even if I showered first...I still do not want to sit in a bath with soap residue etc.... I am a 100% shower girl, twice per day!
