Today's Bible Verse
Today’s commentaryDo nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
– Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

What would happen to churches if this attitude prevailed? What could the church do if no one cared whose name was on top? This is what Paul challenged the Philippians with and it is a good challenge for us today. Do we ultimately trust that God sees our lives, or do we jockey for attention using spiritual language? This is a test that every follower of Christ must pass in order to go forward in maturity.

Philippians 4;6-7
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Good Word. I needed to read this today. My surgery is Monday and today of all days I began to worry. I know all is well and God is in Control, but my mind began to doubt. I shook it off and I'm doing better now. I'm so ready and I know I made the right decision.
Thanks Kenny!
