So freakin' fantastic! It's an event that will grow you and your son's relationship forever. Kudos to you and the kiddo! And I do see the smiles (however tired they are)!

That is so awesome!  I am so glad your son is 10 now rather than older. What you do now will really affect his actions. My boys were in their teens when I had RNY. Bad habits were already set and hard to break.
Congrats!!!

I like how the numbers work as a sort of loin cloth. lol...

Way to go!  That is so inspiring. I can't even imagine doing a marathon let alone an iron man!

How fabulous--for you both!! There's nothing more amazing than seeing your children succeed. And how wonderful to be celebrating your own successes along with them. Congratulations to you both!

Paul, that spandex and lycra I will GLADLY take... this is such an AWESOME picture.

Seriously... do you have any idea realistically how far you have come?  Any idea what a great role model you are for those of us here, but more importantly, to your children?

It makes we want to bawl like a baby... it's a beautiful thing.  Congratulations for a great race today, such an accomplishment!

Your son 'gutting it out' shows he's learning from your example.  Now THAT is something of which to be so, so proud.
