On my list it listed a creamy peanut butter @ 4 weeks post op. But everyone is different.

I've been putting it in my protein shakes (chocolate flavor) since week two. I use the magic bullet, so it really blends it up nicely. My "stomach" has not had any issues with it at all.

I started to have a spoonful of peanut butter about 3 or 4 weeks post op  due to having to crush a pill for an infection. The pill tasted awful and I would throw it up..so I started to shove a spoonful of pb into my mouth immediately after taking the pill. i found a lower fat and lower sugar Jiff that I use. I also am having a hard time getting protein so I have incorporated pb into my diet. I realize that when i start getting more protein and calories in my diet I will have to slow down on the pb but for now it helps me get a little more protein.

I started WAY to early with the spoonful of natural peanut butter. My NUT said it's better in a smoothie than on your spoon. I didn't listen - but that is the advice she gave.

I am laughing right now at this post.  Last night I was craving peanut butter so bad that I emailed my NUT and caved.  I ended up eating about 2 tbsp and it was delicious.  I really needed the protein and actually, for the first time in forever, felt satisfied and that I ate something worth eating. I can't drink protein drinks, they make me gag or make me sick so I'm trying to get other items in for protein.  Skim milk 8g protein for 8 oz, so my peanut butter and later skim milk gave me about 16 g of protein and it was amazing.  Btw, my nutritionist did email me back and didn't say no I can't have it but she did say she would prefer me just to go ahead and advance my diet to include lean meats and get my protein there.
