Happy Monday! ( I tried....) What's your plan?

I have to have these threads. Seriously.

This morning I had every intention of working overtime 0500 -0700 before my 0800 counseling appointment and 0945 vet appointment for my chicken. When I was still wide awake at 2am, I changed my mind about the OT.

Finally settling for a few minutes before work. Chicken is doing great - vet named her Olivia (as in "Newton John" - because of her fancy colored leg warmer bandages). She is standing some and moving around on her own. Still loving my big dog Riley.

B - mint cookie w/ water
- hard boiled egg, chicken sausage link
S - quest
L - tilapia w/ cheese and onion; tomato, green beans, pepper
S - turkey pepperoni / chz
; berries, celery, etc
D - MexiCali meatloaf from bariatricfoodie.com, fresh corn, fresh green beans
S - cottage cheese w/ sf jello and fruit

No exercise today, rest day. And it is ridiculously hot so tending my animals will be lots of effort (my 30yr old horse doesn't sweat, so I have to spray her with a water hose every 2hrs; rabbits get ice bottles 2-3x a day; chickens get a kiddie pool to wade in; dogs get sprayed down)

Riley dog loves this chicken..... they were hanging out before she got hurt, so he is glad when I take her outside for fresh air.
Photo: Willing to just hang out in the shade since Olivia is still healing from 2 broken legs. She seems to be doing well!

My old gelding doesn't sweat either, Lucky for me he likes to stand in the creek when it gets hot!
Mini-me and I went to the store early and now its nap time! Oh how I love nap time!! Still have to clean house and do laundry but that's it for the day. Oh, and make a couple gallons worth of yogurt.

Breakfast was iced coffee and fresh figs
Snack was Greek yogurt
Lunch will be a shake once she gives it up to a nap
Snack will he almonds if I need them or 1/2 a quest bar
Dinner will either be grilled shark we caught yesterday or steak with veggies. Not really feeling either but have to make something!
Snack will be Greek yogurt, semi-frozen....my current obsession!

Hope you have a great day! Try to stay cool!!!

i bet my old girl wishes we had a creek!  When I whistle for her both of my young boys come too! man it is miserable hot.... and now we are having a storm to beat all storms. I've been at work 13 minutes and my team and I counted 47 lightning strikes (that's just the ones we could see!!)

I agree about needing these threads. I need to plan and be accountable because without structure Im a freaking mess. We went camping this weekend and the lack of structure and large amounts of down time did not help with eating. I basically grazed on crackers, jerky, pistachios and spoons of pb. I need to reign it in...no more crackers and no more eating outside of planned meals/snacks.

Breakfast: Ensure protein drink on the road
Snack: Pistachios

Havent had anything else yet but vitamins and water. Will prob do a mint cookie shake for lunch and chicken with veggies for dinner. Need loooots of water. Will probably skip my run since Im an early morning runner and we were on our way home. Its too hot to run now.

I love these threads, keeps us accountable and also gives us newbies an opportunity to see how others are eating/excercising!   Thank you!   Sherry

Did a killer lunch time spin class.

Next couple days will be a focus on Hydration over food as I have a 10K on Weds that will be fairly brutal with the Heat the Humidity and the hills!

OMG -- the 3 H's! You'll kick ass, no doubt. And while I want to say break a leg, don't!

Egads.  I typed this up earlier but I guess I hit cancel instead of post.

24 oz of water on the way to work.

40 oz between breakfast and lunch.

B - Fage, cherries, splenda
s - decaf, creamer, splenda
L - 2 oz burger patty (ground beef, shredded zucchini, panko, spices), fresh tomato slices, laughing cow blue cheese.  And a small orange and a cheese stick.
s - 1 1/2 scoop mint cookie protein made with water
D - no clue. I have ground beef thawed.

Our air is out so we might not feel like eating.  Last night I made a wonderful roast with zucchini, carrots, and potatoes - but it was too darn hot to want to eat!  My 13 yo devoured several bowls however... so it didn't waste.  Anyway, last night had garlic bread and an (oversized) helping of NSA ice cream.  Immediate gas and bloating - I paid for it all night and today.  Do I learn my lesson?  No.  I'm totally craving more.

Hot power yoga tonight.

Hopefully we can get someone out to look at  the air and it's something relatively easy and inexpensive.  NOT a new unit or anything.

Ooh.  Cherries.  Cherries at lunch too.  And an apple before yoga.  And just now two slices of the cantaloupe that just fell off the vine in the backyard.  :)
