Potatoes aren't on the list until the next stage. Not sure why, but I could ask.

I'll be honest I sucked at purée stage. I ate softer foods but I general since my pouch is pretty tough I at tuna like normal and just chewed it really well. Not saying you should follow my lead but I'm with you purée was gross. Lol
