Chicken broth??
I picked up sample packets of Unjury's Protein Chicken Broth and I also picked up Unjury's Unflavored Protein Powder.
For 1st week post op I will try taking the protein shots, halving and freezing them in popsicle molds. Chew on them, get your fluid and protein at the same time. Now with Jello- I have found protein jello-25grams on Amazon, also could take regular sf jello mix and add in unflavored protein powder-when the temp gets below 130 degrees as 140 is when it clumps.
Maybe easier to buy the protein jello already with the protein in it.

I know I am very opinionated here but listen, go get yourself a cheap little chicken or some chicken legs (or better yet some chicken feet), throw them in a pot with a bunch of water, some celery, onions, and carrots and bring to a boil and then simmer. Skim the foam off the top. Let it cook for a while, your house will smell lovely. AFter a few hours pour it all into a pitcher and put in the fridge overnight. The next day all the fat will congeal on the top, skim it off. you are left with awesome stock that tastes great and is full of good nutrients ( like potassium, really handy in the pre op phase) and about 6-8 grams of protein a cup. You can add unflavored unjury or even whey protein powder to it. it is so good and sooooo much better than all that artificial crap they sell.
DITTO to the above. Substitute herbs and garlic powder for salt. Use some sprigs of thyme (lemon thyme is excellent), rosemary, oregano, sweet marjoram, parsley, 1 or 2 leaves of sage (a little sage is better than a lot). Add a 1/2 to 1 cup of dry Vermouth or white wine to the pot for extra flavor.
Beef broth is a bit more time consuming than chicken. Put your bones in the oven and brown with onions, pepper etc, then pour water to cover with veggies, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (optional), and stew on low heat for an hour or more until of the strength you desire. You can do this in a tall pot on the range top or in the oven, covered. Strain and refrigerate. Remove fat before consuming. Add tomato juice for flavor variety or a red wine during cooking phase.
Instead of chicken broth, which is pretty gross, try beef stock (not broth). It has more flavor and much more protein than beef broth or chicken broth.
I personally really like the taste of the Unjury soup (but, be warned, it is pretty salty). I am 5 years out and I still always have a canister because it is nice on a cold winter's day if I don't feel like fixing lunch or dinner.
