Protein ordering
Hi everyone. I'm waiting for my final clearance appt. which is next week. But I would like to look into ordering some single serve protein shakes to have for after the surgery. That way I can see which one's I like then. Can someone please link me to a website or two to order from.
Thanks in advance!
I started with this sampler pack:

This has caffeine, but I thought it was pretty good:

I also got a big thing of this, unflavored to add to everything without having a flavor I didn't like:

Word of warning about protein shakes: Your tastebuds will likely change post op. Best option would likely be to get 2 samples of several proteins. Mark the 2nd same protein GOOD or BAD, and retry a week or so post op. Your favorite protein preop may not be to your likeing post op. Most affordable way to get proteins is in larger jugs, instead of single servings--more packaging costs. Vitalady.com has single samples from these branded jugs. Again, try two samples and mark one no consumed with your opinion. Dave

I ordered a bunch of samples from Nashua Nutrition:

You can also get samples of the Nectars from BJ's Bariatrics:
I love the customer service at Chike (steer clear of the caffeinated ones until your plan says those are okay):

I definitely wouldn't buy jugs of anything other than unflavored before surgery. My tastes changed drastically and I couldn't handle *anything* sweet.
I ended up getting 3 of each flavor and about 10 unflavored packs too.
My surgery isn't for a few weeks, but I have my 2-week liquid diet starting after Christmas, and I wanted to try some before hand as well.
So far, I have tried the Strawberry Sorbet (mixed with water) and the Vanilla (mixed with water). Both tasted fine, and I can't wait to try the rest (especially the chicken soup!).
So far I am very happy with Unjury, and have just ordered my vitamins with them as well!
All this to say, they have the single serve packs to try $1.99 each, 10 or more $1.79
Good luck!
