I've got a headache.............

And I'm 11 days post op!  Can I take a Tylenol?? I really don't want to take my pain meds given from my surgery for pain!

Yes.It is pretty much the only pain reliever you can if you've had RNY.

pills are fine as long as you can tolerate them, which i'm guessing you did. i was taking pills the day after surgery in the hospital.

Yes, I did just fine!!  I will miss my Advil, Tylenol does not help me as well as Advil does!

My surgery was 2/11 and I too had a massive headache a few days out - cannot tolerate the pain meds I was given so I was going to try liquid Tylenol but it has some amount of sucrose - not a lot but more than I am willing to try now.  The tylenol melt-aways are what I ended up using - has some sucrose as well, but less.  I took one an hour until the headache was gone.  Today I took a regular pill tylenol and tolerated it well, though I am still only on clears. Hope you feel better soon, headaches are the worst!
