So Monday was my 4 weeks post op and Tuesday was my appointment with the surgeon. I had to have a CT scan Monday to check about a pain in my back under ribs. He said everything came back perfect all blood work was perfect, besides a little low blood sugar which is normal, he said I've pulled something, ans put me out of work this week. They said I am doing awesome! Lost 32 pounds since preop and lost 60lbs since I started the process and I tolerate every food. I've never gotten sick or thrown up. I told them I was eating salad now, and she said I should be! She said if I can tolerate it and it follows the guidelines to go for it! The surgeons office told me to go ahead and incorporate beef and pork even though the weight loss clinic said wait 2-3 months. They said to keep doing what I'm doing! I also got a new job and went to buy scrubs yesterday and I automatically grabbed the 2x's and then realized you could put me and someone else in them! I had to buy xl pants and lg tops. I about cried I was so happy. Never as a nursing assistant have I bought those size scrubs. *happy dance*

Hello, I see that you had your bypass surgery done four weeks ago and have lost a total of 60 pounds.  I just wanted to post a big congratulations to you.  You are doing great!!!  I have my surgery date as March 11th as of yesterday and have been going back and forth regarding the gastric sleeve and gastric bypass but after meeting with my surgeon and dietition twice now I am going to have the gastric bypass.  I am a little scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.  I would like to keep in touch with you since I am about 12 days from my own surgery and it would be great to have a buddy.  Thank you, Cheryl
