I have been wearing my size 24 jeans since surgery, and they have been getting looser and looser each week.  My thoughts were to get a belt and avoid buying anything new until I absolutely had to.  Well, I went by a thrift store just see what there was available.
I picked out a few size 22 and 20 jeans, tried them on and they were big!  So, I tried on some size 18 jeans and they fit!!  I was, and still am, shocked!  From a 24 to an 18...wow!
I have also been wearing size 3XL tops that have been falling off of my shoulders, and now I'm in L or XL, depending on the brand.
For less than $30, I was able to get 6...yes, SIX...pair of jeans and 3 tops!  All are in very good condition.
I am an OFFICIAL thrift store shopper!!  I even signed up for a VIP customer card.  :)  That gives a 25% discount on certain days.

Congrats on that victory !!  I went to our local Salvation Army thrift store a few months back to get an Ugly sweater for a contest at work.... so I thought just for fun, I would also look at all the sweaters in a few sizes smaller than I normally wear... I ended up with 2 beautiful sweaters, in great condition and paid $7 for them both!!  With those kind of prices, it is ok if we only wear them for 1 or 2 months!  So you enjoy your size 18, but you won't be in them for long!

I just bought a new suit jacket for $7.99 at Goodwill. Still had the tags on it and it was a 20. I haven't been in that size in a long time!

I bought 6 or 7 sweaters at Goodwill for $22 and they are stylish and great.  I've been wearing them for over a year.  I never would have thought that i would find something to wear and go in to check for decorating items more often but it is a win, win situation.
