NSV Thrift store shopping with HUGE surprise!!
I have been wearing my size 24 jeans since surgery, and they have been getting looser and looser each week. My thoughts were to get a belt and avoid buying anything new until I absolutely had to. Well, I went by a thrift store just see what there was available.
I picked out a few size 22 and 20 jeans, tried them on and they were big! So, I tried on some size 18 jeans and they fit!! I was, and still am, shocked! From a 24 to an 18...wow!
I have also been wearing size 3XL tops that have been falling off of my shoulders, and now I'm in L or XL, depending on the brand.
For less than $30, I was able to get 6...yes, SIX...pair of jeans and 3 tops! All are in very good condition.
I am an OFFICIAL thrift store shopper!! I even signed up for a VIP customer card. :) That gives a 25% discount on certain days.
Thats awesome. My 24s are getting way big but ive been scared to try on smaller pants in fear they will be to small and I will feel bad. lol I might just have to go try some today just to see :)
Congrats on that victory !! I went to our local Salvation Army thrift store a few months back to get an Ugly sweater for a contest at work.... so I thought just for fun, I would also look at all the sweaters in a few sizes smaller than I normally wear... I ended up with 2 beautiful sweaters, in great condition and paid $7 for them both!! With those kind of prices, it is ok if we only wear them for 1 or 2 months! So you enjoy your size 18, but you won't be in them for long!
