What was your "Last Supper" meals before having WLS?
My surgery is Tuesday. My surgeon does not put his patients on a 2-week liquid diet and the the only thing I must do is eat a normal size meal the evening before around 5 or 6 pm and then clear liquids after the meal until midnight. After midnight, nothing else. Because of this I have been free to eat whatever and I really have not had the last supper meal. I have just eaten whatever, whenever. It's kind of nice, but at the same time it worries me a little with the liver thing. He's done 5000+ of these so I assume he knows what he's doing, but...
The other thing is that since I can eat whatever, the nerves with only be 3 days out have been tossing my stomach around and every time I eat I get a little nauseous. It's not too bad, but bad enough to remind me how soon my surgery is. The whole last supper thing is interesting because my nutritionist's office has a hand out that says do it, have a last supper. It's part of the healing or mourning process. Then I go to a bariatric education class at the hospital and they say DO NOT have a last supper. Well, I guess the difference is my surgeon has no diet whereas the hospital has many surgeons performing this and they all recommend different things, but most have a 1-2 week liquid diet so I guess the last supper thing is not a good idea if it is going to be the night before surgery.
Anyway, best of luck to you!!! Hopefully I will up to writing by Tuesday afternoon/evening and I can let everyone know how it went for me.

I have a history of losing my shirt Barenaked Ladies - One Week
My surgery was the day before my 45th birthday, so the week before surgery, we drove an hour and a half to go to Ruth's Chris steakhouse. I had a filet mignon, broccoli au gratin, potatoes of some kind (don't remember those), and creme brûlée (my favorite!) for dessert.
I also had a couple of Crispy Creme doughnuts and a chocolate eclair from a local bakery the week before surgery.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I didn't really have a last supper my surgery was pushed up and I started the liquid diet so my last meal was at McDonalds with my daughter on the way home from a meet. Not so much fun. But I can tell you that a carton of Ricotta is screaming my name in the grocery store and that will be my first pureed meal with some low fat mozz cheese. I can almost taste the pureed delight in my mouth aready....just 9 more days away HAHA
