Go see your doctor.  They may be able to prescribe some sort of cream or ointment.  Plus, you want to get it documented in your medical records, because that way you'll be able to get your insurance to pay for skin removal down the road.  If the area is red or irritated looking or something, you might even want to photograph it.

You want to keep the area as clean and dry as you can, which I know is hard especially when the weather gets hot because you're going to sweat.  Applying cornstarch might help keep it dry.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

What Kelly said and sometimes if you get some inexpensive pantiliner pads,( thin )or gauze 4x4's and place them between the folds, it will help to absorb some of the moisture.

Definitely document, pix and go see your doctor!

Yes, see your PCP for documentation.  Ask him/her about Nystatin powder (prescription only).

Be careful with the cornstarch if you feel it could be yeast.

As others said call and get documentation and take pics. That being said my dermatologist said do not use powder it can make it worse, instead the cheapest way to handle it is to go buy diaper rash creme. She said apply it to the affected area and don't scrub it all the way off every day let it create a barrier that's how it works best.

Love this product, InterDry. It helps wick away moisture and decreases bacteria and fungus.

I second this. We use this at the hospital where I work and it is fantastic! I have even used it on myself and it really keeps the pain down to a minimum!  :)
