Anyone try tofu...

8 weeks out and I still can't digest meat. I decided to try tofu. I have been looking up recipes on it and how to cook with it. I think I am going to try making tofu taco meat first. Anyone have any favorite tofu recipes...please share.

I marinate mine in chicken stock, a little soy sauce and chinese 5 spice for a few hours and then "stir fry" (steam)  it with vegetables - my boyfriend gets his with some Ramen noodles.

I love it - he tolerates it LOL!

The only way I like it (its mostly a texture thing for me) is to cube it, soak it in Szechuan sauce, and stir fry it with veggies.  If I have a small amount of leftover beef or chicken, I usually throw that in as well to help camouflage the tofu.

I haven't eaten meat in about 30 years.  I don't like tofu, though.  I've tried to like it.  It's mostly the texture.  Even the firm tofu has a spongy kind of texture I don't like.

I cube a block, marinate it in a wasabi soy sauce liquid, then saute in healthy oil (1-2 teaspoons****il golden brown!  Quite yummy!

The texture bugs me a bit but I love it: Stir fryed with veggies, Miso Soup, Hot & Sour Soup.

I have never cooked with it.  I don't mind it when I'm at a restaurant, but overall its not my favorite.
