Since I had surgery in April (5 months out!!) I have been suffering from bathroom issues. I am either constipated for a week or 2 at a time or I suffer from the nasty Diarrhea. I never have a normal soft bowel movement. Anyone else have this issue?

Even before surgery I suffered from constipation. I take 1 Ducolex stool softener at night and this seems to keep me regular, so far.

I have a cup of prune juice a day, works for me.

Yes.  It goes in a cycle with me.  I go back and forth between the diarrhea and constipation.

I've had this issue starting around 6 weeks post op, am now 3 months out. A few days of "loose" stool then bad constipation. I occasionally have used milk of magnesia to get things going again, but I'll be honest, it isn't good to rely on for the long term. Do you take a daily probiotic and stool softener? I have always done the probiotic and will be adding a stool softener soon...

I take two tablespoons of Benefiber twice a day with my coffee and it seems to keep thing pretty regular.    Before taking it, constipation was a real problem.  Other products went too far and with my schedule, I couldn't handle it.

OMG it felt like I gave birth yesterday. Hurt as much afterward, too. Guess who took Miralax this morning (forgot to take it last night).

I have never been normal since surgery. I use enemas, suppositories, probiotics. Imodium, keopectate, softeners as needed.
