I am also 12 years post RNY, and am currently 10 lbs UNDER goal. There were times I was 70+ lbs OVER goal. Those were the times I was NOT planning food intake/weighing regularly/scheduling my exercise/etc/etc...

The quote of "FAIL to plan is to PLAN to fail",as previously mentioned, is one of my all time faves

Hmmmmm..... this is very strange advice. What made you decide to join and post this as your very first post. You say you are 10 pounds below goal, yet you have no pictures. For all we know, your "goal" could be 250 pounds, so maintaining 10 pounds below that would not be too difficult.

Most of us DO have to be mindful of what we eat. It is how I have managed to lose and more importantly keep off 200 pounds. In the 6 years since I have had my surgery, I know of many people here and in my real life that have gained and gained a lot because they no longer think about what they eat.

For most of us, to maintain our weight loss and our health, we do have to think about what we eat. FOREVER!!
