Strange question !

I know this must sound strange, for a while I have noticed my tongue has a stinging feeling to it. I don't know if it has to do with Vitamins or not getting in enough liquids. Has anyone ever had this feeling?

I have a slight allergy to shellfish. I read the back of the vitamins and they were made where shellfish was used. So I think that is how my tongue felt like that.

Yes.  And I had weird "menthol"/peppermint feel on the back and sides of my mouth too.

I correlated it to taking my sublingual B-12.  The only thing I can think of is that there are disintegrants/surfactants in the formulation to aid dissolution and absorption that must not agree with me.

PS. my B-12 is CHERRY flavored.

Pernicious Anemia :  A deficiency of vitamin B12 can alter the surface of the tongue, making it appear shiny or smooth.
