Happy Friday all my Steak & Shake lovers! Photo Friday - open topic, post whatever suits your fancy! How are you? I am so glad its the weekend, its been a long week. What are you all up to this weekend? Tonight hubby and I are going grocery shopping and giving the dogs a bath. Tomorrow going to the gym in the morning, then Costco and then over to our good friends house for dinner, they also happen to be our dog boarders, we adore them and their four Labs! Sunday is the usual, meal prep, laundry, clean house.

Accountability: I had another small pouch/not hungry day yesterday so nothing off plan.

QOTD: Tell us a joke! My joke is: A photon is going through airport security. The TSA agent asks if he has any luggage. The photon says, "No, I'm traveling light."

Have an awesome weekend everyone! My photo Friday pics are of my black Lab Oliver. A few days before Christmas he had surgery to remove 5 fatty lumps, 2 in his groin, 2 on his right side and 1 on his left side. We went out on Christmas day for a walk and I needed to cover his incisions & all the shaved fur. The only thing I had that would fit him (he is 80 lbs) is one of my old 3x t-shirts from before I had surgery! So here he is, looking pretty funny right! He is totally healed and is doing awesome and runs around like a puppy not an almost 9 year old dog!

Happy Fridaaaaaay, friends! Cute pups, Daze :)

Accountability: Uh, good news/bad news... Bad news, I ate 1/4 of a chocolate chip cookie (there was a tray of them sitting in front of me at a meeting for 4 hours...I finally caved). But the good news (I guess) is that I had officially detoxed from sugar over the last month, so it really made me feel terrible. Nothing like being stuck in a meeting with a bout of RH. Ugh!

QOTD:

A church's bell ringer passed away. So they posted the position and a man came in with no arms wanting the job. The clergy weren't sure he could do it, but he convinced them to let him try it.
They climbed the bell tower and the guy ran toward the bell and hit it with his head. They gave him the job.
The next day he went to ring the bell, tripped, bounced off the bell and fell to the sidewalk below. Two guys were walking past.
One asked, "Do you know this guy?"
The second guy responded, "No, but his face rings a bell."

The next day, the dead bell ringer's twin brother comes in for the again vacant bell ringer position. He also has no arms. They lead him up to the bell tower, he runs at the bell, trips and falls to the sidewalk below.
The same two guys walk by.
The first asks, "Do you know him?"
The second guy responds, "No, but he's a dead ringer for the guy we saw yesterday."

Photo Friday: My cute new sweater today!

Menu: We are gong to dinner with friends tonight, and I don't know which restaurant, so dinner is TBD.

Good morning Daisy and menu folks! It is cold and windy here today, but what else should I expect on Ground Hog's Day?!

Daisy, I love the pictures of Oliver and I'm glad that he has healed well. Cute sweater JB!

I am counting the days until surgery and trying to get prepared for all of the things that will be limited while I am recovering. My wife doesn't drive and has chronic back problems, so things like not driving and lifting limitations will be more difficult to deal with. I'm working folks to help and ways to adjust for the down time. I am grateful for grocery delivery. It's not Trader Joe's, but at least we can get some things and not have to carry the bags. I am also ready to not get nauseated every time I eat more than a few bites. It is frustrating and hard to get in all my protein. Yesterday I added a second protein shake to make sure that I had gotten the protein in since it is harder to eat the dense protein right now.

Menu:

Breakfast: wake up wrap with turkey sausage, 6 cashews

Snacks: Cappuccino protein shake, almonds, blueberries

Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots

Snacks: 2 oz turkey breast, apple, almonds

Dinner: shrimp, broccoli

Exercise: I hope to get in an hour of swimming today
