you definitely wouldn't be as buoyant now that you don't have as much fat (fat is lighter than water and floats...). I've gone from being an extreme floater to someone who sinks like a rock! I have 22% body fat (fairly lean for a female), and treading water is much harder now!

I know what you mean about not being able to float. At my DEXA scan in October, I had a 16.7% body fat count and in it is hard to keep my head above water when I am tredding.

Good morning! Sorry about your pain Daisy. Tylenol has never done anything for me, and still doesn't seem to knock down any fever or pain. No NSAIDs was a HUGE decision for me to get over to do this RNY but I decided the aches and pains I MIGHT get were less important than the weight related joint and back aches and pains I was already treating. I'll try Tylenol knowing it's basically pointless from time to time, or just live with the cold/pain/whatever until it passes. My wife knows how sore I am based on the growling.

Menu: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt with 1/2 cup blueberries mixed in. Mid-week break from the morning shake.

MS/AS: Protein bars

L: 2 jalapeno peppers hollowed out with some chicken/bean chili and a string cheese stuffed in there, nuked for 30 seconds. Gotta be mindful of the juice a little bit, but it's a tasty option.

S: Probably nothing, I've got a meeting that will no doubt run late. I'll grab a coffee on my walk home and that should suffice.

QOTD: No, but I would swim with either. I find them fascinating. Not sure how fascinating I'd find a shark as it chews on my leg, but I'd still love to be that close.

G'morning menu people!! I am up earlier than usual. Daisy, sorry about your back. I had a similar pain just this past Sat, I think it was muscle spasm while exercising. It was excruciating. Icy-hot took care of it, it's a topical. I was uncomfortable all Sat but by the day after the pain was almost gone.

QOTD: maybe it's because of where we live but I'm used to sharks. My husband & son both surf so having shark encounters is not that extraordinary. It becomes extraordinary when you get bitten. A couple of years ago while DH was surfing the shark literally passed him and bit the guy next to him. That one was scary! Maybe he didn't look appetizing!!! I still prefer sharks to sting rays.

accountability : on point.

Question: do you guys pay attention to fat amount? Cheese is usually high in fat, should I keep track of it?

B: protein shake

L: Curry chicken (from last night) and cauliflower

S: yogurt

D: chicken meatball and veggies

E: today is cardio day (45 minutes)

Yippee...it's Wednesday! Have a good one.

Not a doctor, not a vet, but I feel like some fats are healthy enough in moderation. I'm probably not giving up cheese ;)

Not planning on giving up cheese either! ;-)

But was wondering if I should treat it as a "treat" rather than everyday snack.

I feel like as long as you track it you're ok. I plan on adding cheese to eggs, burgers, and snacking on string cheese, but measuring and tracking what I add
