I'm shocked the "Angels" haven't bashed you for this one. Enjoy your occasional drink.

Oh dear. I'm afraid your too new to catch my humor.

I have been an angel on OH for 10 years. I frequently post on the dangers of alcohol. I seem to focus on the liver. Losing a couple of hundred pounds is hard on your liver.

I was in kidney failure when I had RnY. I tried hard to keep the rest of my body out of stress.

Other angels post from the many different reasons why alcohol is not good.

You have come on the boards with quite the fire. Being right is not as important as being open to the flood of information that is freely given. I still learn after all these years.

My angel is Gina whose truth and ability to maintain weight loss for so many years give me hope.

I hope you find yours.

I have made 10 million mistakes, in the past 16+ years...but I am still here...and under goal...

Let's hope the One Month Wonder can say the same, in 16 years...

I have a fierce loyalty, to OH, and the people who walked this road before, during, and after me...I am never so ignorant, as to presume I know more than anyone else...

I am open, to LEARNING...and ACCEPTING

Do I EVER have an alcoholic drink? Yes, I do! But I am very careful...and I'm not in the weight loss stage...I take my vitamins...Have regular labs done..yadda..yadda...yadda

It definitely hits you quicker and stronger. I really avoid the hard stuff. I still drink some wine and beer and now I'm a "cheap drunk". Which is good. Moderation seems to work for me. May not work for others.

This is my experience not my advice.

I've always been a wine drinker myself, when I decided to drink (wasn't very often). Once I hit my year, I will have a glass of wine in celebration of the huge milestone.
