Good morning. Did pretty well last night, but did eat a few protein cookies before bed. So not crap, but not really necessary. Will keep at it. Getting close to the last few tenths of weight I put on being gone, so that's good feedback.

QOTD - probably sleeveless shirts. Never liked them and now I might hit myself in the head with my wings - revealing my secret identity as an Avenger. So I don't. I wear compression most days I work out so I don't make slapping sounds ;)

PWO - tbs peanut butter and 1/2 protein bar into cookies

B - 2 scrambled egg veggie bake with crumbled bacon

L - 3.5oz roast beef and a small salad

S - Pickled carrots and Fage 5.3 oz low sugar

D - Real Food Enchilada on top of a few Quest chips for crunch

S - SF Jello and Tea

Bad news for the day my ulcer is back and worse than last time. I had a horrible time with the EGD, they were not going to put me out but since I woke up the last time with the twilight I asked to make sure it didn't happen again. So they gave me a shot of benadryl which did nothing, but then a anesthetist came available and I was moved to another room and she was utilized. Unfortunately all the benadryl did was make me groggy in the afternoon. Came out with cuts inside my lips, a horrible sore throat and my hand all bruised the nurse blew-up my vein and so she had to start another IV. Then another blood draw, my IV was out so they couldn't use it, so now bruising on my other arm. To say I didn't have a good day is an understatement.

Now that the ulcer is back, they still don't know what caused it and how to get rid of it. Other than the carafate horse pills, and an additional liquid component. Fighting with the insurance company to get the prescriptions filled in a timely manner, I can't do it at a retail pharmacy it has to be via mail. So who knows when I will get them. One won't refill until 11/25 and they told me to throw out the previous pills since I didn't need them. I actually gave them to my Mom to save her some money. I have enough of another PPI to get me by until then. It appears I may have to take a PPI for the rest of my life, because as soon as I stop the ulcer comes back.

I missed most of yesterday at work, did some work from home but I need to make up the time I missed. Was dreaming about work, that tells me I'm stressed about missing things.

I'm tired of having an issue every time I eat something other than yogurt, or Syntrax Nectar. My weight is still up about 1.5 lbs, who knows why or when it will go back down. Sticking to Greek yogurt and Syntrax Nectar for now, so it should go back down. I'm just frustrated overall, it still hurts to swallow but it'll go away soon I hope.

Winter is closing in and I need a vacation, preferably permanently in a tropical climate....

Tough QOTD as I find that the older I get the less I care what others think.

QOTD: i definitely don't wear very high heels (I can wear low ones). My bunions don't allow for much height. I rarely wear hats other than baseball hats at the beach/pool.

Accountability: Good except for some nut thins and hummus so I'm counting them in today.

2 Years 7 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 23 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles, and cottage cheese

D: fish tacos or salmon burger or catfish

S: homemade cottage cheese, hummus and nut thins
