Good morning menu friends! Another chilly day here in the cornfields of Illinois but Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in and will do another long and short walk later. I hate starting out in the dark and cold but it feels great to mark it off the list! Miss Lily appreciates it too! Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.4 today. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and homemade cashew butter L 3/4 c loaded potato soup D 1 large seafood stuffed mushroom. Goal for fluids is at least100 ounces and I missed the mark yesterday. Feel free to add a QOTD as I have nothing. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone! You are worth it!

Mornin' All!

it's a blistering 4 degrees F out there now - UGH. So much for early morning exercise (although I did A LOT yesterday, so maybe it's OK to skip today!). It's supposed to be in the 20s later on today, thankfully - but it's got a long way to go...

I may go to a lecture that some political science professor is giving at the labor temple later on this morning. Mah Jong all afternoon. May go to a yoga class this evening (??). I did weights yesterday and two cardio sessions (stationary bike and Aqua Zumba), so yoga might be nice..

Accountability - went to see Parasite yesterday (excellent - but very unexpected ending!) and ate way too much of DH's popcorn, but I was compliant the rest of the day, so the damages weren't too bad - and as stated, I got a lot of exercise. Scale was good this morning. Whew!

TSS: 4 years 7 months

B: Swedish cheesecake with light Cool Whip and homemade blueberry sauce, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: either chili or chicken salad (made with plain Greek yogurt)

AS: at Mah Jong. I'll take a protein bar just in case...

D: whatever I don't have for lunch, I'll have for dinner

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning! Chilly here too.

QOTD: Food hack or recipe you are loving lately-

Food hack: using xantham gum. Makes smoothies and protein ice cream extra smooth. Use it to make fat free salad dressing. Makes them thicker and emulsified. Less is more.

Made protein ice cream with vanilla casein, xathsm gum, vanilla, lite salt, and extra sweetener ice. Blended. Tasted like soft serve.

  • Oven frittata
  • emiepie egg salad
  • butter chicken and roasted veggies
  • soup and insides of a wrap at business meeting
  • S: protein, pumpkin muffins, watermelon

ex: probably not today.

Mash up hard boiled eggs with cottage cheese, instead of mayo, and sprinkle with (copious amounts of) Everything But The Bagel seasoning (you can get it at Trader Joes or Amazon or even mainstream stores these days). High protein and DELICIOUS!

hi all

took it easy after work yesterday. made DH spam fried rice, yep sound gross but its yummy... I had protein pancakes since I had chicken and lots of protein earlier in the day. Did fairly well on food, a little over yesterday.

supposed to weigh in at this place for the challenge this weekend for the first week but we are planning on heading back to GA Friday after work so I need to figure that out. Also would like the scale to read a bit less before that weigh in.

brought gym clothes with me but not sure really what I want to do- need to figure that out also. making DH sloppy joes for dinner and not sure what I'm having but I'm almost out of veggies so I know I will be cooking those tonight and gizzards.

food plan

coffee

cauliflower oats with protein powder

water

more coffee

chicken and kale salad from chickfila

not sure on dinner
