I know, she does have a super philanthropic heart, which I love about her! I should have mentioned that.
These are Killer Dave's sweet and spicy pickles. They looked so good I bought like a 55 gallon drum of them at Costco lol. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but seriously it was a big jar. They are so good and really make the tuna so delicious. I love pickles.

Good morning! Dare I say, I don't know any Dolly songs except 9 to 5 and Jolene? Don't unfriend me! She's just not my speed and then on top of the country twang is that deep layer of evangelism which is another thing I don't relate to haha. My sister in law briefly named my niece Jolene but a few days later changed it to Penelope Jolene, because she wanted to call her Penny Jo. She is from Michigan, not Arkansas, but we will leave that there :)
Tonight is a strength cardio class and then a sleepover at a friends and we all head up to Deep Creek Lake tomorrow morning. It's going to be 70 here today and then up in Swanton MD it will be a high of 40! Hikes, bonfires, hot tub, wine and cheese - it's going to be heavenly!
I'm really focusing on stopping eating like an ********o here goes:
B: leftover tuna made with spicy pickles and mayo
L: chicken thighs (have to figure out how to make this less boring)
D: tbd - something from Trader Joe's - maybe jalapeño chicken sausage
E: strength and cardio at a new gym - pray for me!
Have a fabulous Friday Eve!

I sleep with a sheet lol. Not even joking! I lay on a fitted sheet and use a sheet over top.

Right before Thanksgiving in the deli section! It's like 3 lbs and it's something like $9.99. Sooooo good. I mean Jen's sisters holiday mashed potatoes that are equal parts cream cheese and butter and potatoes might be better, but the deli mashed potatoes at Costco are FIRE! They sell out, so go in the morning!

We would have a riot together, Teenie, of that I am sure!!! I will for sure let you know if I am in Pittsburgh

Yeesh! I posted my post and it kept telling me the site wasn't secure and perhaps someone is trying to attack me...so obviously I would go back and not continue, so then it posted the same thing three times. Sorry for all the real estate I am taking up today!

Buenos dias, y'all! Holy **** next week is Thanksgiving. I can't believe it. I have to take my mom out of town for her treatment, and I am taking the train home Thanksgiving morning, and then miraculously throwing together my stuffing and heading to friends for the big meal, followed by our own big meal the day after. For our big meal, I will hopefully get mashed potatoes from Costco (such a deal and saves all the peeling and cutting and mashing) and some HoneyBaked Ham Company ham and turkey. The kids really just want their grandma's homemade mac and cheese recipe that I make ha ha. I am all about the stuffing. No idea why I just went off on a tangent about Thanksgiving, I think because I am trying to juggle going downtown tonight for a work dinner, going out of town tomorrow night through Sunday on a girls weekend and going to Philadelphia Monday to Thursday. I think I need to get about 4 lists going!
Are Republicans seriously elbowing each other in the Capitol? And threatening each other to stand up and fight?
QOTD: One thick foam pillow. It's why I hate hotel pillows.
B: I think hard boiled eggs. The fridge is looking light
L: Leftover pizza, I know, I know
D: We are going out for mediterranean small plates so I will stick to hummus and maybe chicken!
Have a most wonderful day! XOXO

You are so inspiring, Amy! I am so happy to see your success

7 pillows! I had no idea! 7 pillows and a weighted blanket - you really do sleep in a nest! Granted, for about 4 hours a night only, but still, it's a nest! I love it, now I want to jump on your bed.

Wow how terrifying. I am so sorry to hear what you have been to. I felt like my ulcer that perforated my stomach was scary and dramatic, but yours is that x 100. Thank god you had good medical care and you are home. Rest up, recover, and take care of yourself.

You are kicking ass!!! You should be so proud of yourself! I know I am proud of you. Great job. Man, I am bursting at the seams happy for you!

Oh Julia, just seeing this now. I am so, so sorry. They are members of our family. She lived a short life, but a good life, with cat siblings and a human mom. You gave her a great life. I hope while you will of course still feel sad, you will know that she jumped and ran and played and probably ruled your house, in the best cat life ever. Sending you a healing hug

WOW I didn't even think about everything that goes into a class. It has about 11 more steps than I imagined. I already knew it was a ton of work but now it's clearly a metric ****ton!
Great QOTD - we put ours up last night! Hear me out, ya judgy McJudgersons! Our oldest (21) was here for dinner and hanging out (which doesn't happen often because, 21) and so was our youngest. This weekend we only have the middle kid (17, a boy) who would rather stab his eye with a fork than decorate a tree. The weekend after I am out of town. And the weekend after is our Thanksgiving...so we could have done it then, but damnit, it's dark at 5 pm and I love the glow of the lights. So, tree is up. I don't do any additional decorations. I usually do lights in the hedges but tbd on that this year.
Today is a bunch of meetings and a bands workout on Zoom this evening. Nothing too crazy.
B: Cottage cheese with everything but the bagel seasoning
L: Chicken quesadilla
D: Impossible meat with sugar snap peas and some sort of sauce, white rice for Kris
Have a great day! Your pizza eggs sound yum - my most recent best eggs were feta cheese in a pan, crack two eggs over top, salt and pepper, put lid on so they cook to whatever done-ness you like, then remove from pan and top with crispy chili oil. DELISH.

Good morning all! QJB it sounds like your weekend was a success, minus the fact that you and Grim both overdid it with your knees grrrrrrr. I hope you can both elevate your legs and watch cozy mysteries and have cat lap warmers today.
I had a fabulous little weekend away in Philadelphia with two girlfriends. Amazing Airbnb, two incredible meals, (more meals than that but two were something to write home about at Suraya and Talula's Garden) and a 4 hour bike tour. Plus tons of walking, chatting, etc. It felt good to sleep in my own bed last night though. I'm off to jazzercise in a few minutes. It's my new favorite workout. The class is Cardio Sculpt 60 and it's a mix of dancing and weights. It really works! I love the energy of the room.
BUT, that brings me to your QOTD. I am unfailingly positive but THAT kind of positive drives me insane. Not my speed at all.
B: deli meat and cheese
L: maybe impossible nuggets?
D: leftover tilapia and couscous
Do you ever go to the grocery without a plan and then come home and realize you need all sorts of additional things? Yeah, that was me yesterday. So now I have to have another order delivered to augment. Meh.

OMG Teenie you crack me up. That comment is a snortable offense. I just choked from laughing.

Ok, QJB is my twin. I took DD out trick or treating from 6:30-8 and left DH explicit instructions on which lights to keep on and to hand out candy. When I got home, I took over for the final hour.
Me (opening door): Hiiii! Oh happy Halloween! I love your costume - you're so scary! (Holding out bowl) Which of these are your favorites? Oh you like snickers and mnms? Let's get you a handful! (Drop in bag!) Are you having fun? Are you getting a lot of candy? Awesome! Have a fun night! Bye now!
Kris (lurking behind me): Oh, THAT'S how you do it? I just say happy Halloween and drop some candy in their bag.

I was literally going to comment, "WHO ARE YOU AND HOW CAN THIS BE YOUR CANDY CHOICE!???!?!??" lol

Chloe is my cat! And my favorite person in the world LOL. Your Chloe is absolutely too adorable for words. Congratulations! I know she will be spoiled and live her best life with you and Joddie! Also, congrats on not gaining weight on a cruise - amazing accomplishment.

I normally don't work so late since my new company is now EAST COAST - Hallelujah! I am normally done by 6 at the latest, and start at 8:30 or 9. Today is off because I have a (personal) call with Australia from 5:30-6:30 and then a quick sync with my boss who is in Utah at 6:30. But I just "proposed a new time" so hopefully I can head out at 6:15 or so. I also hate to be out running errands late but going to Costco will set us up with stuff for the weekend!

Good morning! I've been up for far too long and read the internet (seems like I do this a lot!). Today is jam packed with meetings 10-7 and then I may pop out to Costco for some things we need including a rotisserie chicken because that can stretch for a few days of meals. I did two workouts yesterday and I'm feeling it today. Jen, you're in beast mode doing 2 a day so frequently!
QOTD: mine seems fine though I do get a few texts a week saying I'm eligible for an upgrade. I have Verizon and the service is SO bad in my neighborhood it's infuriating. Like, I pay $100 a month and have to use WiFi calling? How does that make sense. So I may have to switch carriers.
Today's food is mostly a guess since I hardly have any breaks. Maybe:
B: Baird head ever roast and havarti
L: a can of tuna mixed with pimento cheese (don't knock it til you try it! I first had it at a party mixed with minced red onion as well and on toasted rye)
D: costcoooooooo!

I'm soooo glad you're on the other side and feeling good! Being bored and wanting to leave means you're on the mend. I am impressed you're walking every hour. Modern medical practices are truly amazing.
Maybe try the turkey sausage? Because yum. Also, so you don't fall over from being famished!
I'm sure you're excited to get home to the queen and kitties. Do you have any restrictions? Or can you go up and down stairs and stuff?
