Your cookies are cute, as always! I don't know how you do such intricate work. I definitely would need to take one of your classes!

QOTD: yes I use some super duper expensive purology that I get at my salon. My guy texts me when it's buy one get one for the huge bottles and they last me all year.

Your cousin might sounds so fun! I have no plans tonight other than pack and get greasy to fly to Charlotte tomorrow to work from my parents for a few days and spend time with them!

B: one hard boiled egg mashed with cottage cheese and EBB jalapeño

L: Smoked trout from TJs plus a piece of cheese and a cup of broth (broth first!)

D: making pasta with ground turkey sauce for the fam so probably some of that!

Sadly no workout today, I got an early meeting which meant I had to cancel my class. Sad face.
Have an amazing Friday everyone!

Sadly I don't have that problem. I have a friend who won't qualify and did one via mail order for like $500 - I dunno, I'm not sure if picking it up at a nearby compounding pharmacy is much better than having a vial shipped but there are some stories out there about these mail order versions not being as accurate as a Wegovy pen. So I can't advise. I do think this **** should be piped into the water supply!

Good morning, good morning! It's almost the weekend woohoo. I have a workout this morning and then a busy day. But in a good way. My job change really impacted my quality of life for the better! I have time to workout in the morning and no longer work late every single night so I have time for myself. I'm so happy I made the change.

There is one other thing I am so happy about and I'll share it here. As a (maybe 10 year?) veteran here, I have had all the phases of weight loss. "You're too gaunt". "You look great!" "You've filled out a bit". And now I'm at the "You're fat again" stage, which is really depressing. Not pre-WLS fat, but not happy with my body. So I found a medical practice that specializes in weight loss via a variety of medical and also group therapy methods. They put me on a compound pharmacy version of semiglatude (Wegovy) and since it's compounded it's about $250 for six weeks worth (Wegovy is $1300 a month since my insurance excludes it).

I'm 3 weeks in and had an appt yesterday. I lost 10 lbs, you guys! It really reduces the food chatter in my head and the cravings. I feel satiated on less food. It's how I imagine normal people feel! I was telling the NP that I'm nowhere near what I want to lose but I'm worried about what happens when I eventually stop it. Aside from building good habits now, she told me, "Many people will be on these long term because obesity is a DISEASE and this fights that disease". That honestly made me feel a bit better.

Anyway we all share our trials and tribulations so I want to be open about my journey. Let's see how this goes! I'm cautiously optimistic! I have a number I want to get to but I'm too ashamed to share! Maybe when I get there I will!

B: hard boiled egg mashed with cottage cheese

L: smoked whitefish and havarti cheese (same plate but not together!)

D: either a small but of leftover chicken parm or some impossible meat wkrh teriyaki and snow peas!

Thanks for organizing the Secret Santa! My gift is on its way and I'm sooooo excited. Should we open them when we receive them? Wait til Christmas? Pick a day and all do it that day? Do a photo reveal? I didn't put my name on the gift slip haha! So at some point I'll have to fess up.

I loved the book Black Cake and cannot wait to start the series. Hopefully next week when I am visiting my parents. I have to figure out what cord is needed to display my laptop on their tv.

We have a work dinner with secret Santa exchange tonight in DC at this well known Italian restaurant called Filomena. I have no idea what I am going to order which is unlike me. I don't want a heavy pasta dish but nothing is jumping out at me. It will have to be a game time decision!

B: smoked trout from TJs and a few bites of leftover crab cake

L: leftover red lentil soup and a spicy chicken sausage

D: up in the air

E: will I go to the gym in an hour or lay here? The debate rages on in my head lol

Have a fab day and enjoy your little jaunt to Starbucks!

Buenos dias! I am roaring into the week - when I start my week with an 8 am Jazzercise class, I swear it sets the tone for the whole week! I am feeling strong and badass.

QOTD: So many. One that stands out is "A Walk To Remember". My besties who were my roomies in our early 20s were OBSESSED with that movie and I just groaned as they watched it over and over and over and over again!

Love Actually is the best movie ever, just sayin'.

B: Emipie egg salad - this is really working for me for breakfast! With everything but the bagel jalapeno seasoning!

L: NYT red lentil soup that I made yesterday - yummmmmm.

D: Either more dal or smoked whitefish.

I am curious what you will learn about IF, QJB! I have never looked into it. I am not super hungry until 10:30 or 11, BUT you will have to pry my 8 am coffee with creamer out of my cold, dead hands.

Have a fabulous day, all!

I think I pay $4 a month for NYT. But I screenshotted the recipe and attempted to post it in case you want it! I hate how clunky this site is. Hopefully the pics work and they aren't like font 100!

Awww that's awesome that she's super sweet and loves your son!
Hmmm gifts. If she is a coffee drinker find out how she brews it (keurig?) you could do a whole set up of special new k-cups, great mugs, etc.

does she entertain? A really nice cheese board and knives and little signs to mark the items?

She has a dog and cat so stuff for them from chewy - no cat will turn down Temptations haha.

a nice gift card for a great restaurant?

A gift card for something you two could do together to continue to get to know each other, like a spa day or a show? Or an Airbnb experience like making gnocchi with a Nonna where you 4 could gather and cook?

Does she have a favorite food or restaurant in another city? You can order Goldbelly to have almost anything delivered!

Yay Grim! You're a trooper doing these surgeries so close together and being a rock star patient. What, pray tell, makes vanilla pudding so abhorrent? I think it's tasty! I'm glad you can eat and drink today. Hopefully your Queen will bring you some ham!

Julia I don't know how you go entire days without eating. I know a lot of people do IF but I just can't do it. Well I guess I did for my colonoscopy but it certainly isn't easy or natural for me lol.

We are doing a secret Santa at work and someone set us up in elfster. You can even add in ideas or links of things you'd like. It's pretty fun! I'm game if others are!

I went to the grocery store yesterday morning and now there is too much food in the fridge. I inexplicably have an entire rotisserie chicken that is throwing off my entire meal plan. I may make a big batch of chicken enchilada soup and freeze it in portions. It's cold this week and I just feel like soup is a must. I'm making a NYT red lentil soup this weekend too. I've been in a rut and I'm trying to be a little more creative while staying high protein and low carb.

2 of our 4 person Thursday workout crew canceled so I moved us to Saturday so I can have a bit of a lie in this am. I'm tired. Tomorrow is jazzercise! I'm telling you, these classes bring me so much joy. It's so important to find a workout that you love. Jazzercise is a mixture of cardio dance and strength training - perfect for my middle aged self (I swear I feel like I'm 30 but I'm apparently middle-aged!).

B: I need a day off after 3 days of Emiepie egg salad, so, board head lunch meat and cheese. I've been eating breakfast around 11.

L: chicken enchilada soup

D: leftover turkey tacos!

Have an amazing Friday Eve, everyone!

Good morning, all! Everyone is up and at 'em early today!

Nothing special to report here. It's been a good week so far. I got in for a great jazzercise class yesterday, I am doing strength training with friends tomorrow, and jazzercise again Friday. I feel so much better when I work out in the morning!

QOTD: I love me a Marshalls and Home Goods. TJ Maxx, not as much. Do you have the other brand of their stores, called Homesense? I LOVE it. It's like Home Goods with a few of the sections blown out to be much bigger - think, less knick knacks and more lamps and rugs and tables. It's my heaven!

B: Emiepie egg salad - two hard boiled eggs mashed with cottage cheese and EBTB jalapeno seasoning

L: Low carb wrap with avocado, boars head ever roast, havarti cheese

D: turkey tacos!!!

Have a fabulous day, everyone

The German word for what you have going on with "Complicated" is...ear worm. Isn't that the best? I love German literal words.

The stores you dislike are my favorite in the world! But I get it, you have to be willing to browse!

Interstate meeting commuting! What a time to be alive, indeed! It doesn't seem like my new job will have a lot of travel. Which is a bummer but at the same time it's ok since I have a lot of Philadelphia trips for my mom, and I eat better at home!

I didn't! I heard yesterday that Americans will spend $12 Billion on Black Friday and felt compelled to go browse online but honestly, we don't need anything. How fortunate to be able to say that. I did get a new vacuum (how unsexy) because our very expensive Shark lost suction. It's only about 5 years old so I'm pretty annoyed.

On my way to the gym my car told me add oil and your tire pressure is out of whack, so I'm sitting at a very busy Jiffy Lube. Very late start for me today.

B: Emiepie egg salad - hard boiled eggs mashed with cottage cheese and EBTB jalapeño seasoning

L: leftover andouille chicken sausage and couscous

D: not sure yet, I'm going to have to scour the freezer!

E: jazzercise is done! Such a great class!

Good morning! Ohhhh you get holiday potatoes! Lucky you! I'm headed home in the train shortly. Just trying to charge my iPad so I can read my book! I am going to be THAT person who has to go to the grocery store today. We do our big feast tomorrow.

Today will not be a huge eating day - that's tomorrow. So today will be matzo ball soup, rotisserie chicken, and maybe some shrimp. Trying to stick to 3 meals a day, no snacks!

I hope whatever you are doing today, it's a lovely day and you feel loved and appreciated. I love and appreciate the community here.

Hmmm when you say ?cranberry crap? Do you mean the jellied stuff that plops out of a can with ridges, or are you referring to all cranberries, which are offensive due to being a fruit?

Oh they eat it! It's pure sugar - they love it! I grew up on it too and I'm not gonna lie, I will have a slice on turkey day!

Hmmm when you put it that way, a parade does sound more fun lol. I just don't see the appeal of standing on the side of the street to see floats with big cartoon turkeys. Now, a Pride parade - I am there!

Good morning! That's awesome you're almost done with cookies - please do a final tally tomorrow as to how many cookies and icing bags you did in November!

Football for sure. I love the crowd energy and the bated breath and the cheers. I think a parade sounds SO boring - you stand and watch floats go by? Why is that even a thing? Ok, I sound judgy! It just doesn't get my juices flowing.

Your meme is awesome. With the kids we keep it much simpler and have 4 sides and turkey and ham and their favorite, cranberry shaped like a can! I can't deviate from their favorites haha. But for a Friendsgiving I love to try new things or fancier things!

I'll be working from my hotel room in Philly today while my mom has her procedure at the hospital. They're calling for cold rain rain and more rain. I'll stay inside. She got us soup from a deli in Reading Terminal Market (which is 10 feet away) and there is leftover pizza (which is what she wanted last night and since she can't eat until tomorrow I wasn't going to say no) so I guess those are my meals. Plus, coffee.

B maybe a piece of pizza?

L: ah perhaps I'll go next door to Panera and get a salad actually. Must look at their menu and see which one

D: yummy matzo ball soup from Hershel's deli!

Have a most splendid Tuesday!

Same, girl, same! I need someone to remind me of that and slap food out of my hands!

I can't do all liquids but I certainly eat less when I prioritize protein.

I've been awake for way too many hours. I have read the internet and made some lists. I head to Philadelphia this afternoon.

QOTD: I'm in the exact same boat! I normally have presents wrapped and this year I just don't even have presents. The kids are at the age where they want money, and I refuse to buy "stuff" that will end up in a landfill so we may do a trip and that experience will be the present. And then of course everyone will get socks and pajamas as always!

Today's menu is a little unplanned but I do have leftover Lebanese Taverna chicken and sauces. That's one meal. The other may be cottage cheese and then dinner we will likely order in. I can make good choices today!

Have an awesome Monday!
