HI everyone! I go in for my RNY tomorrow morning and I just wanted to let everyone know how much suport I have gotten here.  That two week liq diet almost killed me and everytime i felt like giving up and driving as fast as I could to wendy's, I would get on here and look a the before and after pics and read posts about all of the success everyone is having and it would help give me the strength to continue.  So thank's everyone you have helped me more than you know.

That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! It  is just going to keep getting better from here!

Actually, they use the heart as a reference.  Proximal is closest to the heart, distal is furthest away

 

Insurance companies are EVIL!! I am so sorry you have to go through this.  Just hang in there you are so close.  They would be so wrong to deny you over 6 lbs but I know they would.  3 years ago I was scheduled to have a lap band and I had went through the 3 month pre op classes all of the pre surg labs and everything and three days before my surgery date right before I was going to start my 3 day clear liq diet they called and said that they were denying my claim because they said it was experimental But looking back I am kinda glad it happend because I have over 100 lbs to lose and the RNY is a better option for me.  anyway I am sending best wishes your way!!! 

I am suffering right along with you I started my two week liq diet last tues.  There is really no way around it, it sucks!!! But I bought this sugar free already made watermellon jello and man is that stuff good! It has really helped me because I love sweet stuf.  But just know that you are not alone in this. Another thing that has helped is going to this website it really helps if you look at those before and after pics it makes me say Ok I can do this because I want to be there too!!!

Ok so I have started my two week liq diet on tuesday.  My doc told me only protein shakes, water, and vitamins.  I am really suffering and have been crying everyday.  It has been such a great help to read everyones posts and learn about some issues everyone else is having.   But I was just wondering what some others pre op diets consisted of?

It is amazing that someone could be so hateful! She has no right to judge you! She has no idea how painful it is to live with this disease. You just keep your head up and rest assured that surgery is not the easy way out!
