The secretary told me that thatz all they needed to approve me..I'll let you kno in about a week or so...i guess it depends on your situation.. if they feel itz that serious or not..i dunno...i'll let u kno though

has anyone here had to deal with a HMO approval for WLS. I have been told that it was almost impossible to get approved when you are young.

Hey, Im a college student who had Lap Band surgery done. I had it done on a friday (missed that day obviously) and was back (with my mother driving me) on the following monday. Its hard, and a full day might be too much, but you can do it. Congradulations on the date!

Also... Try Dr. Edward Phillips in Beverly Hills (Cedar Sinai)... He was willing to operate on me at 17 (although I ended up waiting). Its a maturity thing with him. Its a case by case basis. He is also one of the best in the nation.

Hey, Ive heard that the younger bandsters loose faster, but i dont know about all the surgeries. Im young (20) and have lost very fast, and I honestly have no idea if I can attribute any of this to my age or not. Either way.... Better to do it young!

hey! go to layne bryant, fashion bug, torrid, mervyns, target, walmart, kmart. and if you dont have any of these near you shop online at these stores. www.torrid.com or www.fashionbug.com or look at the store locators on the websites of these stores. dont worry you will find clothes, a lot of stores are getting better at carrying plus size, but beware it is expensive stuff. also old navy now has a plus size section and sometimes gap carries plus size. good luck and take care. tiffany
