Topic: It's Been a Long Time...
Hello to everyone at the VBG Message Board. It has been a long time since I have been here. Nothing was really changing as far as losing weight. I lost my 120+ pounds... then nothing. Well... I am happy to report that since joining aerobics (3 weeks ago) and eating 1000 calories per day the last week I have lost 11 pounds. I am soooo stoked. I am getting really close to my initial end goal of weighing 190 pounds. Only 20 more pounds to lose!! Woo Hoo too VBG!! I have begun tracking my progress at fitday.com. It was really hard the first day I began watching my caloric intake. I ended up going to bed at 6:45 p.m. because otherwise I would have ruined (read eat everything in sight) the day. I was only able to stay at around 1150 calories that day. It has become fairly simple as the days progressed. I am pretty excited by that. I have never had the "best" will-power in the world. Just glad that I don't have to go to bed at 6:45 p.m. anymore... ha ha... Best Regards to All... Sharon Chute

Topic: RE: I NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE...
You have come to far to let go now! Remember all you went through to get to this point. Have you tried talking with your doctor who did the surgery? Maybe they can offer some advise. Have you ever checked out the support groups in your area? Someone there may be going through the same thing. Remember the old saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!" Well, anyone who goes through what we have to go through to have this surgery is tougher than nails! You can do it! Just remember, we're all cheering for you. Peggy B.

I have not had the surgery yet-but I just wanted to offer you some support. No matter where you are now, you can get back to where you were. Go back to eating the way you did the first weeks after surgery, and join weigh****chers or some other weight loss group. 23lbs is manageable-don't you remember when it was so much more? Hang in there-you can turn this around-Dana

*wry grin* I know that is true! I just needed to post my sadness. I had added the same post on another board but stated that I didn't want this to turn into over eating as that is the last thing I need. I am the first one to realize I need to keep a positive attitude but I do allow myself a pity party moment. Then I pull up my big girl pants and move on with my life. Thanks for the reply!

Well, I can't sleep because I'm so anxious...no I'm excited. I'm meeting with Dr.Rupp at 9:30 today for my VBG. It's been a long time a coming, but I'm sure it has been worth the wait. I'm asking for all your prayers and want to say "thanks" for your support. With God's hands guiding Dr. Rupp's hands, I'm starting the first day of my NEW life. WOW. I'll be in touch when I'm back home. God Bless and love to all......Eileen P.S. Sorry I didn't make it to Caribou on Saturday. I didn't sleep at all until they hooked me up to the CPAP. By the time I got home, showered, removed the glue from hair....I thought I had 1/2 hour to grab a couple of winks. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the alarm and I woke at 11:00 a.m. A little late, but I must haved needed it. I'll be there one of these days.

Shadows are fallin' all over town Another night and these blues got me down Oh, misery! I sure could use some company Since (s)he's been gone I ain't been the same I carry the weight like an old ball and chain Guess its all meant to be For love to cause me misery Oh misery! Oh misery! Tell me why does my heart make a fool of me Seems its my destiny For love to cause me misery And, oh! I've been down this road before With a passion that turns into pain And each I saw love walk out the door I swore never get caught again But ain't it true? It takes what it takes And sometime we get too smart to leave One more heartache for me Another night of misery (Pink w/Steven Tyler)
