Psst...wrong forum; this is for VBG, vertical banded gastroplasty. The sleeve is VSG, vertical sleeve gasttroplasty :) so you will get answers there

I am one week post op and was also nervous, I just had to keep telling myself how worth it it would be and that I would just have to get through some tough times to get to my goal. Give yourself up to the experts and try and go with the flow. Deep breaths and bring someone who makes you feel calm. Good luck!

Topic: Problem....
Ok, so I had the VBG done in Sept. and have lost 50lbs since. I haven't lost and/or gained anything now in 4 months. There are times, where I can eat, but no where near as much as I used to, and there are times where I have a hard time just eating a piece of fish or yogurt. I sometimes find myself vomiting up the fish or yogurt.

According to my Dr., my stomach/pouch is the size of my thumb to the first knuckle (basically about an inch). I have been able to eat more food than this size of pouch sometimes with out any problems...

Any Ideas?

I go see the Dr. in a week, but I thought I'd get some ideas.

From what I understand, the sleeve gastrectomy, cuts and removes a big portion of your stomach, where the VBG is similar to the Lapband, but without the frequent visits for fills and it don't remove your stomach. look at this forum post :

Um maybe because your entire life is going to change in a huge way. I think everyone experiences some nervousness or anxiety pre-op. I certainly did. Actually had a couple of weeks of depression where I was mourning food that I wouldn't be able to eat any more. It passed. This surgery was about regaining control of my health for me. It forced me to do what I have to do to start living again. And, will hopefully add years to my life. With that in mind I was able to overcome any fears and just went ahead and did it.
