Issues
So I had surgery on 3/1. So I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow. The first 2 weeks were a breeze in terms of weight loss. I lost 25 pounds in those first 2 weeks. I have not lost another pound and it has been 2 weeks now, I may have even gained a pound. I am trying not to panic because I knew about a possible stall, but does it usually last this long. Oh and I would stall at 402.....why not 399 or something under 400. This sucks!
Hang in there , you will be fine, its a long journey, just take one step at a time and have patience, not always easy but very much worth it. Have you got the book that Susan MariaLeach wrote on "Before and After Living and Eating Well After
WLS, its great, if you have not read it, please get it, so many good things about this Journey we are on, it will help.
good luck ..........in my prayers.........Melody
It is call the hibernation period
Your body thinks your starving it so it holds on to the weight to protect you from starvation.
You should increase your protein 80 plus protein grams per day and drink extra water too to break the stall. keep up your 30 mins a day of cardio too. sometimes they can be stubborn.
Also you should be measuring your self because even though the scale don't move the inches will change.
I myself feel that a stall is just a chance for your body to catch up with the weight loss . It will be OK just be proud and keep up your routine!
