So I had surgery on 3/1. So I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow. The first 2 weeks were a breeze in terms of weight loss. I lost 25 pounds in those first 2 weeks. I have not lost another pound and it has been 2 weeks now, I may have even gained a pound. I am trying not to panic because I knew about a possible stall, but does it usually last this long. Oh and I would stall at 402.....why not 399 or something under 400. This sucks!

Hang in there , you will be fine, its a long journey, just take one step at a time and have patience, not always easy but very much worth it.  Have you got the book that Susan Maria
Leach wrote on "Before and After Living and Eating Well After

Hang in there.  Stick with your doctors plan.  Try to be patient and watch the weight start falling off soon!  Remember you just had major surgery 4 weeks ago so your body is still in the "what the hell" mode.   Get your fluids/protein in and enjoy the ride!  Hugs.......Jennifer

It is a stall. It happened to me and it will go away. It won't be your last stall though. The body has a mind of its own. Just keep doing what you are doing and all will work out. You will be out of the 400s before you know it

I am right there with you, stuck (for now).  I dont know what lunar event is responsible for this but its been tough to swallow my scales lack of compliance.

Hang in there...I know it will come to past for us both (hopefully soon)

Unfortunately everyone's different when it comes to that dreaded 3 week stall. Some stall for a week some longer. Average seems to be about 2-3.  Hang in there it will be over before you know it.

It is call the hibernation period
Your body thinks your starving it so it holds on to the weight to protect you from starvation.

You should increase your protein 80 plus protein grams per day and drink extra water too to break the stall. keep up your 30 mins a day of cardio too. sometimes they can be stubborn.

Also you should be measuring your self  because even though the scale don't move the inches will change.

I myself feel that a stall is just a chance for your body to catch up with the weight loss . It will be OK just be proud and keep up your routine!

It happened to me too and it's very frustrating when you have lots to lose.  I had to make myself stay off the scale for a little bit so I wouldn't be so discouraged.  Hang in there.  I bet when the scale starts moving again it will move fast.

I hear ya. I stalled for almost 4 weeks at 300.3. But it finally broke and yours will too! Keep getting your protein and fluid in and it'll happen in no time...
