I had that happen once with some hamburger meat.  It is usually from eating too big of a bite, so the food gets stuck above your stomach.  Your body creates "slime" to help it go down (or come back up).

It happened to me once.  I don't remember what i ate,  but what did happen was i ate,  then i must have forgotten that i ate and ate again, maybe an hour and a half later,  i eat way too fast,  and then i got this horrible pain.   And then i felt sick and went into the loo and this really weird clear fluid came up.  I agree that i would love to understand what the heck is it?   its not the food that you ate,  its clear like mucus?   very strange.  Needless to say i never did that again.  lol :o) jeani

Eating too fast or too spicy (or lactose intolerant).  Also when you first get back on food they are common but seem to diminish with time.

Also ex-spouses tend to cause slimies.

I guess it makes sense to me that the body would naturally come to the rescue when we make a mistake like that.  God really knew what he was doing when he made us, didn't He!  Yes, when it happened I had eaten too much/too quick.....and I'm sort of feeling similarly tonight although I haven't tried bending over the toilet -yet!  LOL
 Peace!

Also, Saliva builds in your sleeve.  We need to drink water water water or fluids to flush that saliva down.  If we dont get enough and we eat  whatever, however, too much or something our body rejects....   it will come up,   ,,,,,   DRINK PLENTY OF LIQUIDS!!!!

edit:
PS:  We jad this subject in our BSG ( Bariactric Support Group) and the NUTS and Social Worker leads this meeting.

Interesting.  I never thought about saliva building up in our sleeves.
 Peace!
