I was at goal at about 6.5 months post-VSG with 115lbs lost. Getting into maintenance for 4 months after that I dropped another 23ish pounds. So that gives me a total loss of 138lbs in 10.5 months with VSG.

WOW!! That is very very good!! You must of been exercising and protein all the way!!
How much did you weigh before surgery?

Thanks. I didn't workout at all for the first 4 months, and then I only did weight training 4 days a week, and hard core cadio 1 hour once per week for 4 months. I did low carb it, pushed clear fluids, and focused on protein. 4 meals a day, no snacks, no junk. And, I didn't lose any weight before VSG. I had the band for 8 months before the revision date.

With my band, I lost 23lb the first 3 months, gained back 16 waiting on the revision to get scheduled and performed.

My stats are:
Band date weight: 270lb(highest recorded weight)
VSG revision weight: 263lb
Goal weight: 150lb (hit 148 at 6.5 months)
Maintnenace weight: 125-130lbs for a year before the pregnanct weight started to creep in (in 17 weeks of the pregnancy, I've gained 8-10lbs depending on the day of the week I weigh) my husband hid my scale at home because I was getting obsessed with weight gain again, and I don't need to be.

My lowest recorded weight was 119lbs last summer, and I purposely gained weight.

Tiff, that is just amazing to me!  I will be lucky to have lost around 75 pounds at 6.5 months out.  Of course I'm FAR from perfect and usually cheat once a week.  You must have followed your plan to a "T" then, right?  Also it amazes me that people actually have to eat more to gain wt (after reaching goal)!

I can honestly say that I did not stray from my post-op plan. I think the entire 6.5 months I allowed one Hershey kiss to melt in my mouth. Seriously, I just didn't want to screw anything up. I did eat about 1Tbsp of broccoli cheese casserole and 1Tbsp of sweet potato casserole at Thanksgiving, but really what's that amount when it comes to intake??? Not much at all really.

Maintenance was super tricky for me. I had to "let go" of a lot my losing stage thought processes. I really had to stop being so obsessive. It's just how my brain works, and my personality.

I am not at goal and stalled staying between 182 and 187. I can say good eating took a back seat the last two weeks but I am watching it now. I am 10 months out now in January I was 6 months out and weighted 205 this am i was 183 lost 22 lbs in 4 months I guess it looks better than I though lol.

I want to be 150 some day that will come.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I am coming up on one year now and have only lost 11 lbs in the last 6 months. I did not lose anything in the last 3 months but now suddenly the scale is moving again so I'm not feeling too depressed about it...I'll get there eventually!  I kinda figured I'd be a slow loser.
