Wondering if anyone is interested???

I have written a planner/organizer for weight loss surgery and am working on getting it published. I may have to publish myself, but wondered how many peple would be interested in such a book. I looked for one when I was going through the planning stages and it didn't exist so thought I should journal my story as inspiration and write one!

The book includes snippets of  my story and workbook pages for the reader's own journey. I also plan to include a BMI wheel to calculate your BMI, business card holders for all those appointments, and pocket folders so you can add all the information you gather along the way...what do you all think? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I think it's a great idea! Maybe even some space for journaling thoughts or conversations with dr's etc.

Hi I'm Diana! I'm 5'10 and hoping to get down to 165 :) Feel free to friend me!

Yes, I suppose it could. Right now it is just a WORD document.

Great idea! I would've purchased one if it was available when I had surgery. Good luck!

Since I'm not a fan of BMI charts, and all the "weight" that is put in that little devil of a measuring device to define a healthy human, including proper body fat percentages and goals to achieve lower body fat would be a key chapter in my opinion.

Thank you for your suggestion. The book is more light hearted about the journey and less medical in nature, but I did include suggestions about how to stay on track. :) It is written in a way you would speak to your best girlfriend. I figured there are plenty of "medical" books out there about WLS, so I didn't go that route. :) -Lisa

I just figured if you were including a BMI wheel, that a body fat % would be appropriate as well.

I'm overweight by BMI charts, but I have around 21% body fat which makes me technically more healthy and not overweight.

you're right...never considered that before. It might be helpful to people to know both measurements. THANKS for the suggestion! -Lisa
