NSV: Picnic fun.. and I actually didn't mind being in the pics!!!!

The kids and I love to get out and do stuff, as most of you know my husband.. well does not. So we headed to the park, lunchables in hand and had a ball. I love to get pics of the kids but am NEVER part of that not this time!! I usually shy away from the summer heat as I ALWAY wore jeans and it was sooo HOT. My legs were too fat to pull off shorts or a dress and being heavy I hated feeling so sweaty and trying to chase these wild boys. This time, I wore a thin dress, never felt hot or sweaty and even took a group pic! Heres to living life to the fullest, chasing your dreams and your kids…

You look great! This is the first summer I have felt like summer is a fun time of the year, so I know how you feel! My son used to like nail polish, too.

 Thanks! Ya I totally get that. We have a pool and every year we swim in our back yard alone every night and when the kids ask to go here or there I would say oh no lets get in the pool. That avoided getting too hot and being seen! I hated everything on my body bouncing as I ran after the boys and feeling like the fat mom at the park! I have to say this is the first summer in a long time that Ive enjoyed it warm weather at all!

I totally agree! This summer I am not hiding in the house in the air conditioning, I am going to get out there and live my life!  I still can't rock shorts or a dress like you can, but I am getting there and I am going to wear them anyway!  Heck, I look alot better than I did last summer!

I have already had many nsv moments this summer and expect many more. Like, simply being able to walk in the heat, I actually took an honest to goodness hike this weekend with stairs on the trail and everything!, and my feet have yet to retain water this year!

Love the pics!!! You look fabulous and now it is time to not hide yourself from anyone anymore!!!!  Keep up the fabulous work, and the kids, I am sure are enjoying the "new" mom they have to run around with and do all these fun things.

I hope one day I'm comfortable with my picture being taken...I always (unintentionally) make it so awkward when I dodge the camera and stuff. We actually did a North Texas OH meetup lunch thing this weekend and I volunteered to take the pics...lol I'm the only one missing from them!

My friends have all these great pics together at events I was at but I'm in none of the pics...bummer :/

I do feel much better about myself - I'm down 62# in not quite 4 months, I'm @ 165 and I know I'm not the blob I used to be...but no part of me is comfortable with having my picture taken. I can do the occasional photobooth pic on my laptop but that's about the extent of it.

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun! :) It's pretty awesome how much more I can tolerate the heat now that I'm so much smaller--I totally get what you're saying! Congrats, girl!
