Pre-Surgery, Post Surgery, Newbies, Oldies, Vets......

Like most of you, I read these boards pretty often..... to learn, to share, to stay connected to my WLS goals.

More and more people are getting the VSG......An explosion of new patients and surgeons have appeared in just the 2 years I've been around.

I really want the VSG to become the go-to "Gold Standard" procedure and everyone that under goes any bariatric surgery get the results that are possible. I know what it has done for me and many others and I wish the same for everyone.

The VSG is a Non-Standardized procedure..... and well.....not all sleeves are created equal. Some surgeries I read about are way behind the curve. Some of the eating programs are questionable at best and some of these nutritionist are just reading from a book for normies.

So the the point I'm trying to make here..........

Please read Pop Pop's post !

What ever surgery you have, who ever does your surgery........ It ain't gonna work......

If you don't have "COMMITMENT"

There seems to be a HUGE lack of commitment here !!!! People relying way to much on the surgery !!!

Not sayin I'm perfect or Pops is perfect..... but check this guy out !!!!

Read his post.... look at his numbers.... look how committed he is....than ask yourself why your not doing as well????

Everybody posts about blaming carbs, protein, bougies, exercise, this person, that person, birthday, flag day, the wind blew......

I guaranty you.... If you add more commitment to your plan.....you will do much better. The more commitment you add....the better you will do.......

Already have frisco and have bookmarked it for future reference. Will be passing it on to couple of friends who are interested in the surgery along with a post from my sister that has a good summary of the dos and dont of pre and post op. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Frisco for the words of wisdom and to Pop Pop's posting too!
I am not yet sleeved and I know commitment is such a huge factor to success, and I will take any advice in how to follow the best route to get to goal!!  I hope I can commit on the similar level as the two of you have with your sleeve and doing what it takes to get the desired results!
Thanks again......both you and Pop Pop are the examples of what true success is like with the sleeve!!!
