when is it ok to get a massage?

Ok people,I have been haveing alot of  neck and back pain,I ussually get massages and see the chiroractor to deal with  it,im only 3 weeks out so is it to soon to get the massage,im  concerned about  laying on the table,ive also thought it might be  ok  if I  layed on the pregnacy type  table.Any ideas?

have you been able to lay on your stomach?

I have not tryed,,scared,but have layed on my side,both and no problems

The theraist I spoke with recomends waiting till im 6 weeks out,I myself am a massage tehrapist but have never  dealt with a client that had recent surgery,so helpful to know.The wait is due to blood clot posibilities

I had one at 4 weeks out I just told her not to hard and I was fine. I also drank lots of water. I also had one one on Sat 8 weeks out and was just fine. It was a guy that looked like Fabio that did it he sure was hot and rubbed me good.
