Has anyone else that is 3 weeks or beyond  having trouble with getting in 6 oz. of food? I am having all kinds of trouble doing it and having terrible antacid pains also. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have the same problem. I try to eat SLOWLY, one meal (6 oz.) might take me 45 mins to get down. But if you keep with it, you'll be able to get the food down.

My doc also prescibed me lanaprazole (not sure if I spelled that right) which I take every day, and that seems to eliminate the pains.

It's just the fact that we are so swollen at this stage. If it were not for my anti nausia meds, I probably would not be able to eat.

Hope that helps.

yes it takes me anywhere from 45 mins to an hr to eat the 6 oz. if i can get it in. I might have to call my doc about the antacid situation see if something can be done.

What are you trying to eat 6oz of at 3 weeks?? I wasn't even cleared for solids until 6 weeks out.  I still at 3 mo out only eat 2-2.5 oz of dense meat or 1/2 cup of soft food at a time.

Damn, you get meatloaf? Soooo jealous. I've had the most annoying cravings for meat. Dreams even.

Ummm, please check with your surgeon and or bariatric team for some guidance on post-op eating. I have never seen anyone who has been allowed to eat some of those things (unless they were put in a blender) at 3 weeks. And 6oz? No way.

Uh, I can't eat 6 oz of food at 7 1/2 months out.  Be grateful for the restriction, and don't pu****  I can eat 4oz, MAX, of very mushy stuff like cottage cheese.  Anything dense, and I can't go much past 2 1/2 oz.  I just had  2.25oz of grouper (soft, white fish), and maybe 2 bites of broccoli for dinner.

Ok whew than what i am experiencing is not unusual... i can stop worrying now.  When I make the meat loaf to keep it moist i put in zucchini, then i don't need a gravy.
