I just crapped my pants... literally

Too funny!  I have a friend like this... she has some good stories!

I was surprised how loose my stools were in the first few weeks post op

C diff is horrible!! I wouldn't doubt that is the culprit. I can relate as I had the surgery Saturday and I peed myself two times saturday because I wasn't moving fast enough!!
I was soo embarrassed...

I can relate...I never had it happen at work though.  I have the huge possiblity of having to deal with it again.  I just started Amoxicillin for strep throat on Sunday night so, by Friday, I should be good and loose from that.  On top of that, my cardiologist, started me on a medicaiton for my chronic pericarditis that also has diarrhea as a common side effect...I have to take it for a minimum of 6 months, but most likely a year and then can taper off of it if I don't have any more pericarditis flares.  I am sure that I will be packing extra clothes for a while to come.

Hope you get rid of that C Diff soon...that is a real pain to deal with.

O wow hate you messed up your panties. I sure hope they were not your favorite sexy ones. Maybe wear some Depends until the C diff gets better.

NIIICE !!  well.....ya know what they say....every once in awhile...we ALL have a "****ty" day! Probably not your first....won't be your last!  lol! 

I also had c-diff.  I can totally understand.  I almost died from it a couple of years ago and can tell you that if you let that c-diff get going it will/can kill you!  two different times the doc's "prepared" my hubby for me not making it.   

  I was talking vancomycin (sp) by IV, but the real turning point was taking Vacomycin by "enema"!!! Those lamaze classes really came in handy trying to "Hold" it for as long as I could.  And I totally understand... the c-diff poop has a mind of it's own.!!

My one word of advise I have to anyone who  is reading this... if you take an antibiotic for any reason... abcess tooth (why I took one), infection et c.... then call the doc right away if you get diahrrea.  Take lots of "PRO botics" along with that antibiotic.

 It happened to me too, a couple of days after I had surgery--I hadn't had a bm yet, so I wasn't being careful with farts.  I was lying in bed, and holy geez .  Not only in my underwear, but through my sheets, and onto my mattress.  So now I have a STAIN on my mattress. Lovely.  And it makes me feel so proud every time I change my sheets. 

I don't know--I know these indignities are part of the price we pay, but I have to say, I still don't find it very funny.
