Way cool.  I told my wife I was thinkin of doing this once I hit goal.  She said, they use needles you know... I thought uh oh...

Yes, they use needles LOL.  Lots of little ones in a nice vibrating gun thing...loads of fun.  I have a smaller tattoo of my sons name on my arm.  it was not bad.  This one was 3hrs of true unpleasant ness LOL (being nice)....apparently the calf is a very sensitive area.  I had thought about my shin but everyone says tattoos close to bone hurt a lot.  I asked the artist and he said....oh no....LOL....this calf is gonna hurt like a son of a #$^&*!  Apparently its not so much the proximity to bone as it is the proximity to lots of nerves.  Just so happens that most places with shallow bones like top of feet and hands happen to be where the nerves are.  For the legs, they apparently run up the back....LOL.  Oh well.  I think it turned out great.  As for now, it simply feels like a BAD sunburn.  That will go away over the next week as the skin heals.
