Hey Girls :)  I joined too. I went to the doc last night for my final pre op and sign my consents and all. When I got there I find out that I have a hiatal hernia.  Tho small, she advised me that the possibility of RNY bypass existed.  She feels there is not enough data to support the safe and long term repair of large hernias for sleeve patients. SOOOOO on tuesday morning 730 i go to the OR for some type of bariatric surgery.  She says if the hernia is small, there is only a 15% chance of bypass... so pray hard.. cross fingers.. think positive for me.. I really have my heart set on sleeve surgery!
