So, I am curious about your opinions...for the women that had cesarians, which was worse?? Getting this surgery or the cesarian? as far as pain goes? Anything it can be compared to?

I have had three cesarians... and my surgeon said that as long as I was able to to tolerate that well, I should not have a problem with VSG.

i had an ovarian cyst removal via c-section cut..

VSG was a piece of cake physically compared to that..

the only crappy part is the first few days being nauseous..but after that you are home free.

really?!?! I had an ovarian tumor removed when I was 4 1/2 months pregnant...36 staples going down my stomach and then 3 cesarians...I toleerated them really well.I think the epiderals and spinals were worse than the aftermath of the surgeries LOL

on Monday 11/7/11 I had an ovarian tumor removed with my ovary and the sleeve and i would say the pain is moderate the first couple days than bearable on day 3-4 with liquid painkillers. I have 8 incisions and feel pretty decent, did light housework and laundry today. I would assume a c-section would be a bit more painful.

I asked this same question before I had my VSG. In my experience the c-section hurt like 50 times more than the VSG. Actually the first day of the VSG you are sore with way too many sit ups feeling. I can't say I was really in pain after the VSG. The c-section always took me about 7 months to heal from them and this is where I worry about getting a tummy tuck, I am so afraid to go through the pain that I have before.

Only thing I can say, compare it to way too many sit ups, 2nd day basically my drain was an issue, 3rd day ahhhhhh it felt so good to get the drain out and everything was easier from that day forward. I never really had to take the pain medication that I was given but did take one before getting on the plane incase I ran into issues but really nothing really bothered me at all other then the bit of acid reflux or whatever was happening for about 5 days after the surgery.

My c section and especially my open hysterectomy hurt more due to the larger incisions.

My c-section was extremely painful. The VSG was like nothing.

I've had two c-sections and the pain was a million times worse than my VSG. I feel fine, and my surgery was only six days ago!
