I tried adding some of my protien mix to my hot coffee and it became all chunky and gross.  Does anyone have recipes or anything that will work to make hot anything with the protein powder.  Would love to hear any ideas you may have....

Thanks for this great tutorial!  I'm 2 weeks post op and enjoyed a lovely almond milk/chocolate protein/decaf coffee this morning thanks to you.  Things are looking up.  :-)

You are so very welcome!!  In the evenings I will sometimes just only use the almond milk and add water to it and make a hot protein drink out of that.  Warm in my tum and wont keep me up!

Feel free to share it with anyone you know who might could use it.  I am glad to share!

Hoooray for 2 weeks!!  :}  Its like being married - its like forever and no time at all.  :}

I mix the protein powder in about 2 ounces of cold water first to dissolve and then I add the hot. I have protein coffee every morning this way :). Hope this helps.

If your liquid is too hot it will denature the amino acids in the protein, kind of like scrambling an egg or curdling milk, shoot for less than 130F for the best results.
