I was waiting for the person that would tell me the truth about post-op!  I've had surgery before and it always was the couple days later that I was hating life.

It is SO awesome to hear that you are doing so well though!

I am interested to hear about this disney princess half marathon.  Tell me about it!

:) I'm excited!

Well howdy.  That's quite the introduction.  I live on Andrews AFB so not far from DC at all.  I'm 5'5", started at 262 and I'm currently 237.  I'm still pre-op.  I started the journey in Sep, but my surgeon has all sorts of hoops but I *should* be getting my surgery date today.  My goal is to be at 230 for the surgery as my end goal is 130 and I like the symetry of having 100lbs to lose post-op.  Yeah for turnign the status quo on its head.  That sort of attitude will do you well as a sleever!  I hope you stick around and we get to follow your progress.

OOH!  Someone close!

I hope you hear about your date today!  That made it all much more real to me.  Like I had time to count down to!  And time to get ready for!  I am still trying to figure out what pants to wear.  I was thinking yoga pants but pj pants are so much more colorful.  Haha.  I'm crazy, I know!

:)

I'd say either of them but you'll be in just a gown for the actual surgery.  Pick something easy to wash and you don't mind if it gets a stain or two.  Hope your surgery goes great.  Make sure you take a pre-op pic so you have a before and after.

You had me at polka-dots :)

Your great attitude will help you soar through this with flying colors!

I am 5 weeks out and have never been happier - I finally feel in control of my life! I felt pretty good at 3 weeks and it just keeps getting better and better.

This forum is a great inspiration and so full of wonderful advice and success stories! I look forward to hearing about your journey.

Good Luck!

Haha.  I love polka dots.

Five weeks and 32 pounds lighter?!  That's SO awesome.

I'm hoping that I'll be feeling pretty good around 3 weeks... because that's what I've got off before I have to come back to school.  I'm ready though!

Welcome to OH and congrats on making the best (or your mamacita may say 2nd best) decision of your life!  You are so gonna love your sleeve!  BTW your surgery is on St. Lucy's day (I'm a Lucy), so I know you are gonna have a totally successful surgery!

Good Luck!

Haha.

I agree... my girl says this is a great opportunity, but I know she'd say she was the best opportunity... and she IS!

Thanks for the wellwishes and here's to hoping that St. Lucy is with me the entire day!!
