Giving Blood today

So I'm giving blood this afternoon for the first time post op.  For those of you who've done this, is it any different than before VSG?  I'm slightly worried about being more woozy and lightheaded than normal just due to taking in less calories and the constant need for hydration.  I've already guzzled an extra 24 oz today in preparation.  I'm going to eat a nice iron and protein packed lunch in preparation as well.

In addition to what you are already doing I made NO plans to do ANY running around after I gave blood.

I gave blood last month.  I was perfectly fine.  I did eat a slice of pizza--only because I knew its calorie/carb/fat content already.  And as an unexpected, blood is heavy and I lost a pound, lol.
