Drain site infection

I had my surgery 8 days ago and I have an infection where my drain was. I have horrible pain on my right side. Has this happened to anyone else?

Call your doctor. You do not want this to go untreated.

I also got an infection at the drain site. Once the drain was removed and I got on antibiotics it cleared right up. (and the pain was bad, but quickly went away.)
