What are your symptoms?  Do you have a fever with the pain?  If so, go directly to the hospital.

Then I would ride it out.  Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and get some rest.

Is it worse when you sit upright versus laying down? I had a kidney stone and the pain was so unbearable.  When I would sit upright--it was so much worse because then gravity was making the stone move down my ureter.

Did this pain start all of a sudden?  My stone did. I went to the restroom and went back to bed (it was early in the morning) and then BAM-I was in agony and could not sit up.  I had no clue what was wrong with me so I called 911. Do you notice any blood in your urine (not that it's always visible)?

Lower right abdomen could be bowel, kidney stone, ovary, or appendix.  For appendix, try pushing on the sight and releasing, if the rebound pain is greater (when you release), it could be appendix.  If going isn't helping, probably not bowels.

If it gets bad, go to the ER and let them sort it out!  That is a tough area and they have the diagnostic equipment to figure it out.

this is gonna sound gross, but we nurses always inquireTMI... when u went #2 today was it liquid/diarrhea?

And when is the last time u went before today?

It is possible when u have a bowel obstruction that the stool stuck behind the blockage can become liquidy and go around the ***** that's stuck...

Being left lower, i wouldn't think appendix and kidney is usually (but deff not always) more towards the back, and more mid or upper than what I'd consider Lower abd

I'll watch for ur reply, U can always PM me too if u don't wanna put all ur life details out there.. lol
Hope it gets better :-)

I had severe cramps in my ureters, and felt like I had a backup of urine above the stone. I got punched in the kidney by every doctor when I went to the ER. What a great diagnostic technique. If I went in saying I think I broke my nose, they aren't going to punch me to see if it hurts.

They will do a simple urine test to check for trace amounts of blood if they think it's a stone. And probably blood work to check for high levels of blood calcium.
