Pre Op Diet???????

So my pre op diet is not like others. I only have to do 1400 Calorie Diet for 2 weeks well I wanted to get started early. So I started this past Sunday well I don't know if Im doing this right? Its been awhile since I been on a real diet. I hope im sucessful. I wanna lose at least 10 lbs before surgery on April 23,2012 but I dont have too just can't gain anything. Please help any suggestions will help. I also don't drink any Soda only Water at least 100 oz a day. But so far no success.

Well, if you'd like to join me in hell I am only allowed meal replacement (protein) shakes. I have lost (since tues before last) 18? lbs. There's a bit more to it, if you're interested. I don't really advise it, lol. How do you do with low carb? I do great on it and if you do Induction OR the Stillman Diet, you will lose nicely (or should!) PM if you want more detail, luck to you!

I do plan on the week before surgery to just do liquids. Thanks for the advice. Good Luck with surgery. I know I can't wait until April 23.

I stayed on a 1400 calorie a day diet for 3 months before surgery and lost 19 pounds. I'm not sure you can lose 10 pounds in 20 days unless you havent lost any weight recently. If I wanted to lose 10 pounds in 20 days, I would drink protein shakes for 2 meals and 1 high protein low carb meal with no snacks but this is just my opinion if I were you.

cut out all processed carbs-no breads crackers potatos corn fruits rice etc. keep drinking water eat 2 adkins or low carb slim fast shakes and have grilled or baked chicken or fish with small side salad or green veggies ans weight will come off!  no sweets!
