By the looks of it, many of us ate differently for the recent holiday(s) than we normally would.  So let's see how everyone is doing today.

B: protein hot chocolate
L: 3.4 oz chicken, 1/2 piece lemon bluberry bread
S: 2 hard boiled egg whites, ww string cheese
D: 3 oz baked dill salmon, 5 asparagus spears
S: ww string cheese

water: 58 oz done, 42 to go
vites: done
exercise: walk dogs tonight

 I was absolutely out of control yesterday, last night was shameful, first time since my surgery and it scared me.

B: protein shake
L: some ham and a baby bel
S: greek yogurt with some blueberries
D: not sure- am on my own so maybe grilled chicken and a little veggies or just a shake


water: 16 oz done, too much to go
vites: 1/2 done
exercise: Karate tonight

L: T. hummus, 1 oz. swiss cheese, 1 slice deli turkey

S: SF fudge popsicle

D:  Greek yogurt mixed with a little Philly cream cheese
S:  roasted edamame

Talk to me about the greek yogurt with cream cheese...is this like cheesecake??

Yes.  I read about this on the RNY board.  Greek yogurt (I use the Fage 2%, around 4-6oz) plus one of those little single serving containers of Philly cream cheese (100 calories) and you can add a squirt of fresh lemon juice.  Then add whatever other flavorings, sweeteners (I use 2 packets of stevia) or fruit you want.  It really tastes like cheesecake to me.  I get to eat good and feel like I'm cheating!

I don't always use the cream cheese, but if I can fit it in, I go for it.

I wish The Laughing Cow would make a cheesecake flavor.  I did try the new cream cheese strawberry one and I think it would be really good mixed with greek yogurt.  But I will say... I think it had 4g of fat, which for me was too much to handle eating by itself.  I bought it thinking it was a "light" one.  Ended up having to give it away.

Day 1 of 2-week pre-op diet. Sigh.

B: HMR 70 vanilla shake with coffee and fat-free half & half (I know...but I've already transitioned off full-fat half & half and once this container of fat-free stuff is gone (1/3 remaining), that's it)

L: HMR 70 vanilla shake

S: chicken bouillion or tomato soup (diet from surgeon says V8 and tomato juice are allowed so I'm guessing low-fat/low-sugar tomato soup is allowed too.

S: HMR vanilla shake

D: HMR vanilla shake

S: sf jello and/or popsicle

vitamins: done
exercise: walking


Please tell me this gets a little easier?
