What a shame....

 So I finally got my EOB from my insurance for my VSG on 4/12 and the hospital stay.  Would you believe the hospital charged nearly $44,000 for everything???   Here goes the sad part - the insurance only allowed $5500 of it, paid out $4950 and I was responsible for $550.  Crazy right????

See that is insane to me because I paid cash for mine.  For everyting including my hospital stay it was 13,450.  I cannot believe the hospital billed that much.

I mentioned this once in another post.  It's what hospitals do.  Someone was saying they were going to get stuck with a $50K bill...I told them hospitals bill that to insurance, but it's not the agreed upon amount between then and the insurance company.

Yes, precisely why our system is so awful...

 Yes it is crazy.  We should all be pushing for a real healthcare system....not this nonsense.  People shouldn't have to pay huge fees for services that will improve thir overall health.
