Closet clean-out question
When you went thru your clothes did you get rid of the stuff that you know (assume) won't fit you for the opposite season? I just did my closet and got rid of the summer stuff but should I get rid of the winter stuff too? Or wait until the fall when I go thru it again? Part of me thinks that some of this stuff will still fit.
I just went through mine also. I got rid of everything for every season that is too big now. I figured i'd just go through everything each time I end up doing it to keep it thinned out. That way you know what you really have for fall & winter also & don't get stuck all of a sudden needing clothes...lol
It depends. I am getting rid of stuff that I know won't fit.
I'm actually holding onto some stuff (a couple of soft cashmere sweaters, a couple of wool sweaters with sentimental value because I bought them in England) even though I am sure they will be way too big, in case I want to wear them huge/oversized with jeans or leggings around the house just because they feel good.
Next winter I may look at them and say, "HISTORY!" and give them away, but that's the way I've been approaching this. Getting rid of as much as possible, but holding onto those few things I like so much I will see how I feel when it's time to wear them again.
Heck, I may use those cashmere sweaters as nightgowns. LOL

I'd hang on to those cashmere sweaters too...might come in handy on one of those cold, snowy, winter days when you want to sit with a good book and read the day away ---- all wrapped up and cozy in that old soft sweater
